Meet Joseph

Joseph Mao grew up lugging home suitcases of books from the library. In high school, he decided he would be an engineer, and for almost a decade, he resisted the call of writing. But no matter how hard he buried his head in his studies, writing refused to leave him alone, peppering him with a million “what-ifs” that sprung even from his engineering course content.

Now, Joseph draws from his background to explore these very questions with fast-paced, grounded sci-fi adventures that feature broken people wrestling with broken worlds. He can be found trying to cook a new dish, sipping Taiwanese high-mountain oolong tea, and optimizing his daily commute.

Joseph deeply loves and lives in Metro Atlanta.
